¶ A short excerpt from the journals of Henry David Thoreau in which Thoreau reflects on his experience surveying a piece of swampy land near Concord, Massachusetts, on November 18, 1851, describing the how the owls and other creatures ‘represent the stark twilight unsatisfied thoughts I have.’
Specifications: Typeset in Linotype Electra and Linotype ornaments. Printed in black, blue and yellow on Saint Armand Old Masters handmade paper. Two sheets printed ‘two-up’, folded, gathered into a single signature and trimmed to 13.2 × 20.8 cm making eight pages. Bound with a three-hole stitch in a black endsheet and a blue Saint Armand Canal paper wrapper with a label printed in black and blue. Issued in a plain white envelope printed in blue and black.
